NEWS

"In the case of news, we should always wait for the sacrament of confirmation.”  - Voltaire

2011 has truly been an eventful year. Not just for me, but the whole of humanity.

History has been made time and time again. We’ve had inexcusably, hideous riots plaguing Britain, and people’s lives have changed forever because of them.

People’s lives have also changed forever more, due to evil, sadistic mass murderers and tyrants like Bin Laden and Gaddafi coming to their end. Justice has finally been achieved after so long and world peace now doesn’t sound as unlikely as it once did.

We’ve also had to say painful, heartbreaking goodbyes to our heroes. Legends who’ve inspired so many of us, and left a positive impact on us. Names like Elizabeth Sladen, Nicholas Courtney, Randy Savage, Henry Cooper, Smokin’ Joe Frazier, Jimmy Savile, Steve Jobs, Liz Taylor and Amy Winehouse.

And for me, my life certainly underwent a turning point when I FINALLY saw my book published and on shop shelves after so many years. Thank you to all who came to my book signing at WHSmith on 5th November and thank you to all who’ve actually bought my book and left feedback.

Being interviewed by papers, having had strangers congratulate me and actually being reviewed have been tremendous experiences. And now The Saviour has been nominated for The People’s Book Prize! To be precise, Best Fiction in the Winter Collection 2011/12! Please show your support and vote now on the link below!

In the meantime, I’ve put up two new pieces of artwork for Christmas. I’ve been working on these over the last few months and I’m really pleased with the end result. Check out My Artwork to see the new illustrations.

Also, I now have a DeviantArt account! Check it out on http://mrdcwood.deviantart.com/
